What your readers get

Three sliders for loan amount, interest rate and tenure, and four results that update as they move: the monthly EMI, the principal, the total interest and the total payment. A bar under the EMI shows how much of every rupee repaid goes to principal and how much to interest, which is usually the number that surprises people on a 20-year home loan. At 8.5% over 20 years, interest is more than the amount borrowed.

The widget uses monthly reducing-balance EMI, the method Indian banks and NBFCs use for home, car, personal and education loans: interest each month is charged on the principal still outstanding, so the EMI stays fixed while the interest share shrinks. It is the same math as the EMI calculator on this site, and the EMI formula page walks through it with a ₹10 lakh example and the matching Excel formula.

Readers who need more than an estimate, such as the full amortization schedule, part-payments or two offers side by side, can open the matching calculator from the link inside the widget: the home loan EMI calculator, car loan EMI calculator, personal loan EMI calculator or education loan EMI calculator.

Pick the right preset

Each loan type opens at numbers typical for that loan in India, so a reader's first look is already realistic. They can move every slider from there.

How to add it to your site

The code is an iframe and one line of credit text. It needs no script on your page, so it works anywhere you can paste HTML and it cannot slow down or break the rest of your site.

WordPress

Add a Custom HTML block where the calculator should go, paste the code, then open Preview. In the classic editor, paste into the Text tab, not Visual.

Blogger

Switch the post editor to HTML view and paste where you want it. For a sidebar, add an HTML/JavaScript gadget under Layout.

Wix

Add › Embed code › Embed HTML, choose Code and paste. Drag the box to about 520 × 520 px.

Webflow and Framer

Drop in an Embed element (Webflow) or an Embed component set to HTML (Framer) and paste the code.

Any HTML page

Paste it anywhere inside <body>. The widget fills its container up to 520 px wide.

Set your own starting numbers

To open the widget at a specific loan, for example the price of a flat you are listing, add amount, rate and years to the iframe address. This opens the home loan preset at ₹75 lakh, 8.4% for 25 years:

https://emicalculator.app/embed/emi/?type=home&amount=7500000&rate=8.4&years=25

Amount is in rupees without commas, rate is the annual percentage, and years is a whole number from 1 to 30. Anything you leave out falls back to the preset, so you can set only the amount. Readers can still move every slider.

Size and theme

The widget is 520 px tall and up to 520 px wide; on a phone it shrinks to the screen width with nothing cut off. Choose Dark for a dark site, or Match visitor's system to follow each reader's light or dark setting. Text and sliders keep their contrast in both.
